M.E. "Mike" Glanton, Sr. Servant Leadership Award
In its fourth year, the M.E. "Mike" Glanton Servant Leadership Award is offered to a first-time GRLI participant who exhibits exceptional leadership character within their church, community, and school. The servant leader has a responsibility for his/her followers, as well as towards society and those who are disadvantaged and underserved. The servant leader serves others by helping them to achieve their goals and improve their lives, rather than others serving the leader. The servant leader builds community as a way to create environments in which people can trust each other and work together, as well as trusting relationships for collaboration and service.
Applicants must have demonstrated leadership potential and established involvement in leadership activities while at GRLI. Only one award will be presented per class year.
